Elaine’s story
Over the course of a successful corporate career, I developed a diverse set of tools and methodologies to help people innovate in a better way. Boutique Innovation was born out of the intense desire to be my own boss and test these tools in the outside world.
My biggest challenge was
When I started the business, I had come from a corporate background where there were support services for all aspects of the day job, so I was surrounded by people to help me – IT, lawyers, accountants, HR. Having to be all of these things in my own business at the start was daunting. However, I soon realised I could outsource a lot of this so my best piece of advice for anyone starting out is to find an accountant you trust as early as possible!
