The WES Awards are back for you to enter

First published on May 31, 2022

After a 2-year break due to Covid-19, we’re delighted to announce that this year the Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards are back!

These business awards come as we mark 10 years of work by WES to close the gender gap in enterprise participation and are an excellent showcase of the range of businesses led by women in the hope to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

At the voco Grand Central Hotel Glasgow on Thursday 27th October we will be hosting a glittering evening event to celebrate the talents of women across Scotland.

Why apply for a business award

When you’re focused on your business, winning an award might be the last thing on your mind but there are plenty of reasons as to why you should apply for our awards:

  • Completing the application will help you to take stock and think about what you have achieved.
  • Being a finalist or winning is great for marketing and building awareness of your brand.
  • You deserve recognition for all the hard work!
  • It’s a fantastic morale boost for you and your team (if you have one).
  • Awards judged by business experts are an endorsement that you are on the right track.
  • You have nothing to lose by putting yourself forward, and it’s hugely gratifying if you win.

There are 10 categories this year, all of which are free to apply or nominate a women-led business for. Applications must be submitted by the 15th August deadline. Find out more about the categories and how to apply.

Tickets for our evening event, which include a drinks reception, 3 course dinner and awards ceremony, are on sale now. Join us and celebrate the incredible work and achievements of women, like you, across the country.

We hope to see you there and remember that, awards; you’re worth it.
