Anne Hayes, Director of Sectors at the British Standards Institution (BSI) shares her thoughts on why menstrual and menopausal health policies must be made a priority for even the smallest of businesses. 

Did you know that as of February 2024, making “reasonable adjustments” for women going through menopause has become necessary under new guidance issued by the Equality and Human Rights Commission?

It comes in response to concern about the number of women leaving the workforce and is based on the Equality Act 2010, which puts employers under a legal obligation to not discriminate against workers on age and gender grounds.
